Soham became the latest victim of ram raiders last night as a local Londis store was robbed – and again a JCB used to remove a cash machine. Damage to the Hall Street store is extensive.

Police have advised that the road will be closed “for the foreseeable future” at the junction with Hall Street and Townsend.

“It looks like someone has either crashed into the shop or pulled a cash machine out the wall,” said one resident.
