A postmortem on a St Ives woman has confirmed her death is not being treated as suspicious. Cambridgeshire Police confirmed today the outcome of the postmortem that was held yesterday following the previously ‘explained’ death of the woman who was in her 60s.

Police had been called to the house in Chelmer Close, St Ives, more than a week ago and carried out forensic examinations of the property.

Neighbours were questioned about the occupant and there was a police presence at the house for several days following the woman’s death.
